We were born free into slavery
All the way up to the mountain we climb
Dragging ourselves over the sticks and stones of time
Bleeding blue and red, the song that still rhymes
Is willing to live an open and adaptable life is a crime?
Where are the virtue and self-righteousness?
The bars of right and wrong are just imposing this tiredness
We were born free into slavery
And we were raised to be slaughtered yet show commendable bravery
Sometimes I don’t want that, I want a peaceful life
Live with honesty and heart, survive and come home to my wife
Is that too much to ask?
Father, I have given everything for all your tasks
For once let there be peace
No more war and no more hypocrisies
